Instagram finalized Apple Watch support when Apple asked developers to develop custom apps for Apple Watch.
As you know, applications such as eBay, Amazon, Google Maps, which belonged to technology giants in the past, ended Apple’s support for Apple Watch. Instagram, now Facebook’s visual content sharing platform, was pulled from Apple Watch, the leader of the smart watch industry.
Apple recently asked application developers to develop native apps for Apple Watch instead of running their apps on the iPhone. But that meant extra burden for application developers. And for a screen of a few millimeters.
It was not clear why Instagram was supporting a device with a small screen like Apple Watch. But Apple did not mean that Instagram was in the Apple Watch, and it wanted Apple Watch to develop a custom application. This ‘strange’ request ended with Instagram terminating Apple Watch support.
